Porsche Panamera
The Panamera is highly effective in mixing a sportscar with a luxury saloon. But what's with that look? It's kind of strange.
So it's a Porsche... It's a bad Porsche.
The first Panamera we saw was in Moscow. We were there for a test drive of the new Dacia in winter conditions and we saw on the streets the new Porsche Panamera. This happened an year ago.
So what's with that look?
This is a Porsche 911 stretched to maximum. It has four seats. Not a very comfortable car.
Is it luxurious? Let's not forget, luxury is something that Porsche can do. It may only have sports cars and an ignomious SUV in its back catalogue, but these days they're all finished to a standard that makes high-end limos look a bit shoddy in places.
The engine is a Porsche, so it gets 10/10 for technical design.
Two versions of Porsche's 4.8-litre V8 - normally aspirated with 400bhp and a turbo with 500bhp - and a 3.6-litre V6 diesel. The non-turbo V8 is so effortlessly and undramatically quick that you may as well just drive it straight to the cop shop and hand yourself in. The power in the Turbo is gigantic - at any revs. If any passenger is boring you, just press the accelerator and they'll quickly be silenced.
But bad, bad, bad for exterior design. Only a 4/10. Ugly car.

Rolls-Royce Phantom
A car that comes with its own umbrella.
If you have money, buy it. It is the greatest luxury car. This car is different from any other type. It is another world, not simply a normal car with more luxury and performance.
Is it confortable? For sure it is. It is the most comfortable car in the world. The huge doors make it easy to get in. This car is classy, not a gadgety one.
As for performance, the 6.75 litre, V12 engine is more than adequate. The thing that will blow your mind is that this car is the most silent in the world.
The Phantom uses a unique chassis platform, body, interior, and retains traditional Rolls-Royce design cues. The body is mostly aluminium.
Final assembly, including all body, paint, wood, and leather work, is completed to each customer's individual specification at the Rolls-Royce plant.
The Auto Time Team gives a 10/10 for exterior design and also a 10/10 for technical design.
Facts:
- Customers can choose from 44,000 paint colours, and specify any leather colour.
- Instead of a tachometer, the car has a power reserve dial indicating how much of the engine's power is left available to the driver. This is to provide a sense of tremendous power in reserve, and to hide "crude" underlying mechanicals from its owners. The cluster is not shared with any other vehicle. Doors are remote operated.
- The rear doors are rear-hinged, a style commonly referred to as suicide doors, but called 'coach doors' by Rolls-Royce. Because of the rear-seating position in relation to the rear inner-door handles, buttons are mounted on both C-pillars which operate hydraulic motors in order to close the rear doors. An electronic lock prevents the doors from being accidentally opened when moving. The car will automatically brake to a walking speed if a coach door remains open when driving off.
- The traditional Spirit of Ecstasy ornament has an automatic electronic retraction mechanism to prevent theft and protect pedestrians in the event of an accident. It may also be retracted by the driver at the touch of a button, and retracted when the alarm is armed. The base contains a sensor which detects movement, and will retract if tampered with.
- The 'RR' logos on each of the wheel hubs are independent bezels in order to always remain upright while the wheel is rotating.
Features include a navigation system with voice recognition, power sunroof, upgraded leather upholstery, rear-view camera, rear-seat DVD entertainment system, 26-speaker premium sound system, 8-disc CD changer, 18-way power front seats, 16-way power rear seats, heated and cooled cup holders, rear-seat tables, outside-temperature indicator, universal garage door opener, power tilt/telescopic heated wood and leather-wrapped steering wheel with radio, climate, and navigation controls, power open/close trunk lid, power closing doors, wireless headphones, iPod adapter, refrigerator, and air conditioning with 5-zone climate controls. There are unlimited options available through the Rolls-Royce "Bespoke" program through which the factory will create any reasonable option a customer asks for.

The Volkswagen Golf 6
The Volkswagen Golf is a compact car manufactured by Volkswagen since 1974 and marketed worldwide across six generations, in various body configurations and under various nameplates - as the Volkswagen Rabbit in the United States and Canada (Mk1 and Mk5), and as the Volkswagen Caribe in Mexico (Mk1).
The front-wheel drive Golf was Volkswagen's first successful replacement for the air-cooled Volkswagen Beetle. Historically, it is Volkswagen's best-selling model and the world's third best-selling model, with more than 25 million built by 2007.
Most production of the Golf was initially in the 3-door hatchback style. Other variants include a 5-door hatchback, estate/wagon (Variant, from 1993), convertible (Cabriolet and Cabrio, 1979–2002), and a Golf-derived notchback saloon/sedan, variously called Volkswagen Jetta, Volkswagen Vento or Volkswagen Bora (from 1979). The cars have filled many market segments, from basic personal cars, to high-performance hot hatches.
Now let’s focus on the new Volkswagen Golf 6.
Volkswagen based the latest Golf Mk6 on the existing PQ35 platform from the Golf Mk5. This vehicle was debuted at the 2008 Paris Motor Show.
The Mk6 Golf was designed by Volkswagen's chief designer Walter de'Silva, with design cues inspired from the previous generations of the Golf, particularly the Mk1 and the Mk4. The design is said to be more aerodynamic, helping fuel efficiency, and is quieter than its predecessor. Following criticism of the downgraded interior trim quality of the Mk5 Golf in comparison to the Mk4, Volkswagen opted to overhaul the interior to match the quality with the Mk4 Golf, while maintaining the same user friendliness from the Mk5. The car will also be cheaper to build than its predecessor; Volkswagen claims that it will be able to pass on these savings to the customer as a result.
Volkswagen means "people's car" in German.
So is it the Golf still the best selling model, the people’s car?
The new Golf is quieter, better built and simply nicer to drive than before. You'll fit your whole family in here and the whole deal is as classless as it comes.
It is a very good German quality car.
The new Mk6 is in reality a Mk5 with a better interior.
The usual engine range is available in the Mk6, including a new version of the 2.0-litre motor that comes in the new GTI with 210hp and an LSD on the front wheels. The most interesting are the ‘twincharged' (both turbo and supercharged) 1.4-litre petrols. They come in 120 and 160hp guises and are, basically, brilliant. Fast, with a fun power delivery.
This car seems to be boringly good.
If you want some enjoyment in your life, buy the GTI. It is the best Golf you will ever drive.
Golf is one of the most practical cars in the world. The best for youngsters, mid aged people and retired ones. It is the greatest hatchback car in the world.
This car gets a 7/10 for exterior design. For technical design, the Golf Mk6 gets 7/10 but the GTI gets 10/10.
Auto Time team declares this as being the car for everyone. The Volkswagen.

Dacia Logan
We, the guys from Auto Time team consider that the best, when you want a new car, is to try the local brands too.
Let’s take Germany as an example: many Germans buy Mercedes, BMW, Audi and even Opel and the common VW, local cars from their country production, very good cars.
A second example is France with its Renault and Peugeot cars.
As a conclusion we could say that in Romania there are a lot of Dacia on the streets. Are there?
The Romanians hate their local car brand and buy themselves foreign cars.
Let's look at a study of Dacia sales for the first half of 2010: a total of 181,826 cars delivered from wich 162,500 cars delivered to international markets. With a simple calculation we find that in Romania only 19,326 cars were delivered. Just over 10% of Dacia sales.
And Dacia sales are growing.
An Auto Time team member, who arrived in Moscow for a test drive was pleasantly surprised to see many Logan cars on Russian city streets.
Similarly, another member, who arrived on the roads of Italy was surprised to learn that the Italians want to buy the Dacia Logan.
This is demonstrated by the sales in the Peninsula. They reached 13,755 units in the first half of 2010.
But what makes the Dacia Logan to be sold so well?
The design, everyone agrees, has not emerged from the first. They had a few touches during the six years they were on the car market. Now it looks much better, with chrome exterior elements, redesigned mirrors, just a little more aerodynamic.
The interior space is taken to the extreme, three adults standing slightly on the back seats.
The Logan engine can't be bad, with engines from Renault (Formula 1 champion team).
In conclusion, Logan is a very good car for the daily livelihood of every person.
If you put to count the fact that it is one of the cheapest cars on the market, it concludes that the car is the ideal one.
Those from abroad have realized that. It is needed to be realized by Romanians too.
We at Auto Time adore this car, not just because the car is the national one, but also because it is a good economical car.
Price-quality ratio is close enough to give you back, it doesn't require many maintenance expenses and the car is quite comfortable.
We encourage Dacia Logan.
New Dacia Logan gets 3/10 for exterior design and 5/10 for technical design from the Auto Time Team.

The Lamborghini Murcielago
The Lamborghini Murciélago is a high-performance two-door, two-seat sports car produced by Italian automaker Lamborghini.
In a continuation of Lamborghini's tradition of giving its cars names from the world of bullfighting, the Murciélago was named for a fighting bull that survived 28 sword strokes in an 1879 fight against Rafael "El Lagartijo" Molina Sanchez, at the Coso de los califas bullring in Córdoba, Spain. Murciélago fought with such passion and spirit that the matador chose to spare its life, a rare honor. The bull, which came from Joaquin del Val di Navarra's farm, was later presented as a gift to Don Antonio Miura, a noted local breeder; thus began the famed Miura line of fighting bulls, which provided the name for one of Lamborghini's first great cars.
Ok. So this is one of the most beautiful cars in the world. From the beginning it gets a 10/10 from Auto Time team.
This car stops traffic, drops jaws, snaps necks.
You have to be really insane to buy or to want a car like this. We are all insane.
Why is this car the best design car? It just looks great. This is our simple answer.
This car is a sport street high-performance super car.
It has four-wheel drive and 630hp, combined with a torque figure of 487lb ft meaning that you can launch the big Murcielago to 100 kph in just 3.4 seconds, all day, every day. You're looking at 340 kph and the ability to crest the national speed limit in first gear, so the other gears are really only there to determine how long you can stay alive.
So it’s fast… and it’s beautiful… and it’s a super car… what’s the price?
The price for this nice car is almost 250,000-300,000 Euros. A big price for a great car.
Our advice: if you have that amount of money and you want a car to represent you, buy a Lambo.
From our team, it gets a 10/10 for both exterior design and technical design.

The Pagani Zonda
The Pagani Zonda is a mid-engined sports car produced in Italy. It debuted in 1999 and continues through the present, with production proceeding at roughly 10 cars per year. As of 2009, Pagani had built 106 Zondas, considering also test mules. Construction is mainly of carbon fiber.
You will need a lot of money and a lot of good sense to acquire this magnificent, hi-tech super machine. You pay for what you get, so eighty grand over 400,000€ will bring you a 7.3 liter 12 cylinder, rear-drive super coupe that’s over endowed with kit and thrills.
The question is: is a car like this worth approximately 500,000€?
Well if you are a blind, rich with no sense for design you can buy one.
This car makes Batman easily jealous. It is a strange car that was created for performance and speed only. It is ugly because every line, every piece of design was studied for better aerodynamics.
This car will show a Porsche 911 Turbo a clean pair of heels even in “S” guise, while the “F”, with its extra 50 horsepower, is F1 quick. This car is the fastest on Nurburgring.
You will pay only performance. If you’d expect practicality from this car, you’re mad. This car is a supercar in the right way. The fastest Zonda has almost 800 hp. You will buy a jet plane that doesn’t fly.
Our advice is to wear some glasses when you buy it. It is very ugly.
From Auto Time team, the Pagani Zonda gets a 4/10 for exterior design and a 10/10 for technical design.

Ferrari California
Ferrari succeeded in making a more usable car, a car that will go smooth, that is quiet and fast. It’s not especially pretty, but it gets the job done. You can really use it as a daily car.
Ferrari said that this it seems to be its most useable model to date, a fact that you observe when you drive it. The new gearbox is better than the F1’s and it still provides the thrill when you want it.
It is a very practical car. There’s even decent luggage space and you could do serious miles and get away with it. The California seats are the best for touring.
If someone says that California is not a proper Ferrari he should drive the car. . It'll hit 62 mph in just under four seconds (3.9 seconds) and run on to speeds greater than F1. Everything is good on this car.
Drive the car before you judge it.
From Auto Time team, the Ferrari California gets a 7/10 for exterior design and a 9/10 for technical design.
The price of this car is approximately 150.000-210.000 US dolars.
